Case Details
On the morning of October 30, 2025, Petitioners M-L-G-G- and R-G-S- were driving to work to make wreaths at a holly farm when their van was pulled over by immigration officers in Marion County, Oregon. In their lawless pursuit of detention bed quotas, ICE cast aside Petitioners’ due process rights—a bedrock of American freedom—to stop Petitioners without a warrant, and without reasonable suspicion and arrested Petitioners without probable cause.
The Petitioners were stopped, arrested, and detained in an arbitrary manner, without any notice of the basis for Petitioners’ arrest and continued detention, and not based on a rational and individualized determination. Their detention is unlawful for multiple reasons: they were stopped without reasonable suspicion, they were unlawfully arrested without a warrant and without probable cause or reason to believe they had committed an immigration violation and would flee before a warrant could be obtained.
